Supporter and Member Statuses / Payment Options

All fees received by the Astrosociology Research Institute (ARI) will go to further its mission of developing astrosociology as an academic field and furthering astrosociological research, as well as paying for the logistics to make this possible. ARI is a 501(c)(3) organization. Membership fees and donations are tax deductible if they conform to stipulations of the Internal Revenue Code (IRS) -- specifically section 170 of the Code. ARI is also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, tranfers, and gifts under section 2055, 2106, or 2522 of the Code. ARI is classified as a public charity.

As a nonprofit corporation, ARI depends on its members and supporters to continue in its quest to pursue it mission. If you favor adding a formal field to the academic world that provides a social-scientific perspective concerning the study of space issues, please contribute to our cause, both financially and in other ways. Thank you!

Membership/Supporter Options:

Full Member (FM) -- $50.00/year
most membership privileges on and off the website, including full access to the Virtual Library.

Student Member (SM) -- $35.00/year
Student members receive the same privileges as full members, though their fees are reduced due to their student status.

Associate Member (AM) -- $40.00/year
fewer privileges on the website than a full member, including limited access to the Virtual Library.

Official Supporter (OS) -- $25.00/year
limited to email-based announcements as well as various other communications relevant to the development of astrosociology.

ARI gratefully accepts donations of any size, whether or not associated with a membership or supporter status.
